A 54-year-old Omaha woman was sentenced to three years in federal prison Tuesday for stealing more than $760,000 while employed as a business manager for a freight company.
U.S. District Court Judge Richard Kopf also ordered Toni R. Walker to make restitution in the amount of $765,236. Walker took the money between November 2007 and April 2012 while employed by Royal Forwarding Inc. According to an indictment, Walker drafted checks to herself, and she spent the money on such things as utility bills and gambling.
